To explain and demonstrate how to use Visual Studio .NET to create, configure, and deploy a web-based application

Target Audience
Application developers with experience in Visual Basic .NET who wish to become familiar with the deployment process in the .NET Framework, especially those who wish to attain the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) or Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) for Microsoft .NET credentials

Experience using Visual Studio .NET to develop web-based applications in Visual Basic .NET and ASP.NET

  • identify the deployment editors and configure the directory structure of a deployed application with the File System Editor.
  • add registry keys and values and use the User Interface Editor to customize installation dialog boxes.
  • use the Launch Conditions Editor to add and configure a launch condition and use the Custom Actions Editor to add a custom action to a deployment project.
  • use the File System, Registry, and Launch Condition Editors to configure a deployment project.
