To be able to configure Cisco IOS remote access using the Cisco Easy VPN Server and Cisco VPN Client

Prerequisites
A knowledge of general networking terms and concepts; experience in general Cisco router operation and configuration; a knowledge of data networking equivalent to that of a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); a basic knowledge of Windows operating system; familiarity with the networking and security terms and concepts (the concepts are learned in prerequisite training or by reading industry publications); experience working in a network environment is recommended

Configuring IOS Remote Access Using Cisco Easy VPN

  • distinguish between the features and functions of Cisco Easy VPN.
  • distinguish between the Clients and features supported by the Easy VPN Remote feature.
  • recall the process involved in establishing a connection using Easy VPN Remote.
  • recognize key tasks and commands involved in configuring Easy VPN Server on a Cisco router.
  • recognize the steps and commands involved in configuring a crypto map and XAUTH.
  • configure a Cisco router as an Easy VPN Server for extended authentication.
  • configure Cisco VPN Client 3.6 in a given scenario.
  • select the appropriate option in the Cisco VPN Client program to carry out VPN-related tasks.
  • install Cisco VPN Client 3.6 and create a new connection entry.
