Overview/Description
To be able to install Router Management Center and configure a basic VPN using Router MC activities and jobs

Target Audience
Network engineers responsible for configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing Cisco network access servers (NAS), perimeter routers, and virtual private network (VPN) remote access networks; network architects responsible for designing Cisco network access servers (NAS), perimeter routers, and virtual private network (VPN) remote access networks; CCNP candidates; CCIE candidates

Prerequisites
A knowledge of general networking terms and concepts; experience in general Cisco router operation and configuration; a knowledge of data networking equivalent to that of a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); a basic knowledge of Windows operating system; familiarity with the networking and security terms and concepts (the concepts are learned in prerequisite training or by reading industry publications); experience working in a network environment is recommended

Objectives:

  • install and launch Router Management Center for VPN routers.
  • configure failover and fragmentation using the Router MC to meet specific requirements.
  • configure the settings on Router MC for hub and spoke routers.
  • configure IKE policy for multiple devices using Router MC for a given scenario.
  • define VPN settings and IKE policies using Router MC.
  • identify the tasks involved in configuring building blocks, tunnel policies, and translation rules for multiple devices using Router MC.
  • recognize the options and processes involved in managing configuration files for VPN routers.
  • view and generate reports and identify settings designed to administer the Router MC server.
  • define tunnel policies and deploy and view configurations using Router MC.
