Overview/Description
To configure the Easy VPN Server and the Cisco VPN Client and describe PIX Firewall support for Small Office/Home Office

Target Audience
Enterprise network engineers; network system analysts; Cisco partners who sell, implement, and maintain Cisco PIX Firewalls on small, medium, and enterprise size networks; systems engineers who support the sales of Cisco PIX Firewalls

Prerequisites
Experience in configuring Cisco IOS software; certification as a CCNA or the equivalent knowledge; a basic knowledge of the Windows operating system; familiarity with the networking and security terms and concepts

Objectives:

Remote Access and Easy VPN

  • identify the features of the Easy VPN Server.
  • identify the features of the Easy VPN Remote and the steps in the Easy VPN Remote connection process.
  • identify the tasks involved in configuring an Easy VPN Server to support XAUTH for Easy VPN Remote Cisco VPN Client access.
  • identify the features and benefits of the Cisco VPN Client release 3.6.
  • identify the steps involved in installing and configuring the Cisco VPN Client.
  • identify the features of the Cisco VPN Client program menus, log viewer, and status displays.
  • configure the PIX Firewall from VPN connections and establish and verify a VPN connection from a Cisco VPN Client.
  • identify the features of the PIX Firewall Easy VPN Remote feature and the commands used to configure it.
  • identify the steps and commands involved in configuring the PIX Firewall PPPoE Client.
  • identify the configuration parameters the PIX Firewall's DHCP server can dynamically assign.
