Prerequisites
A thorough knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory design; a working knowledge of basic project management concepts, Microsoft Project 2003 client, SQL server, and networking, including TCP/IP, and IIS; some understanding of Internet protocols such as POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, and HTTP

Objectives:

  • create Active Directory accounts and SQL accounts for Project Server 2003.
  • install and configure IIS 6.0 for Project Server 2003.
  • create a SQL Server account and a Windows SharePoint Services web site in Project Server 2003.
  • configure SQL mixed mode, SQL named instances, and SQL Analysis Services for Project Server 2003.
  • install and configure SharePoint Portal Server for Project Server 2003.
  • add an account to the OLAP Administrators group and extend the SharePoint web site when configuring SharePoint Portal Server.
