Conducting Effective Interviews

Overview/Description
 This course enables the learner to know how to establish a supportive interview atmosphere where the candidate shares information readily. The learner will be able to create a positive interview atmosphere and ask the right questions effectively.

 Managers, team leaders, human resource managers and human resource professionals responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees.

Creating the Ideal Interview Environment

  • recognize the importance of creating a positive, stress free interview environment.
  • identify the factors in the tangible interview environment which make it stress-free and comfortable for the interviewee.
  • identify environmental factors that make the candidate feel important and supported during the interview.

  • recognize the importance of using a variety of effective questioning styles to assess an interviewee.
  • identify examples of the six styles of questioning interviewing candidates.
  • select examples of the domino questioning style of interviewing.
