The Consummate Coach Simulation


Overview/Description
The people who make up a company's work force are the key to maintaining a competitive edge in today's rapidly changing marketplace. They cannot be bullied, coerced, or forced to perform at maximum level. They need--and demand--personal buy-in. Content employees produce better products and better service. Coaching is a critical key in changing today's workplace into an arena of high-performing achievers who make the crucial difference to the bottom line. The Consummate Coach simulation is designed to give participants practice coaching as opposed to managing. Over the course of the simulation, participants will employ techniques and strategies for increasing productivity, enhancing morale, and generating a team of high performers who do their jobs even better. Each of the four coaching roles will be explored, giving participants the opportunity to experience first-hand the difference between leading, confronting, encouraging, and mentoring. Participants will also interact with their own coach, giving them a taste of how effective--and positive--a coaching experience can be. This simulation is based on the SkillSoft series "The Consummate Coach" and contains links to the following SkillSoft courses: MGMT0241, MGMT0242, MGMT0243, MGMT0244, and MGMT0245.
