The Coach's Roles
Overview/Description
Depending upon the day (or maybe the hour), effective coaches/managers will need to play several different roles. Each role is an essential part of a managerial repertoire of abilities. Good coaching can change today's workplace into an arena of high-performing achievers who make the crucial difference on the bottom line. This course is designed for anyone who wants to change mediocre performance in the P&L statement to glittering success. By understanding the many different hats a manager wears, this course gives the manager specific tools to lead others, to be a good coach/manager, and to affirm team members. It also provides the coach with insights on how to have positive confrontations and the critical importance of being a supporter and encourager. Finally, it takes the coach/leader on an exploration of how to mentor those for whom the organization holds him accountable. This course is designed to give both experienced and inexperienced managers and supervisors reasons, techniques, skills, and ways to develop a team by knowing when and how to use each role most effectively.
