Balancing Your Professional Life Simulation

Overview/Description
You, the learner, are a mid-level executive in The Jameson Group, a national public relations firm. Your team specializes in representing health food and "nutraceutical" manufacturers. You and your team have consistently met, and often exceeded, company expectations. Because of your "can-do" attitude and track record, your team is usually assigned high visibility projects. In recent months, you've begun to realize that instead of thriving on the high-stress level of the job, you feel overwhelmed and fear that your performance may suffer. You notice similar signs in your team members. In this simulation, you will be responsible for applying techniques to achieve balance in your own professional life, as well as assisting your team members to do the same. Focus will be on recognizing the sources and applying effective techniques to manage both personal stress and the stress of others, while optimizing your role as team leader. Explore mode is particularly useful in this simulation, and you are encouraged to experiment with your choices to get a full range of experiences that will leave you well-versed in the art of stress management in a work environment. This simulation is based on the SkillSoft series Achieving Balance in Your Professional and Personal Life and contains links to the following courses: PD0111, PD0112, PDO113, PD0114 and PD0116.
