Bloodborne Pathogens
Overview/Description
This one-hour course will provide you with a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of transmission, methods of prevention, and what to do if an exposure occurs. Information presented will help minimize serious health risks to persons who may have personal exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials in the workplace. This course has been updated to reflect new legislation for needlesticks in OSHA regulations for Bloodborne Pathogens that went into effect on April 18, 2001.
The content in this course is designed to comply with the intent of the applicable regulatory requirements.

Anyone who performs job duties that could bring them into contact with blood or body fluids in the workplace including, but not limited to healthcare workers, emergency medical/first aid responders, or persons cleaning healthcare areas, equipment or devices
