 This one-hour course will provide basic information that will enable health and social care professionals, special education professionals, and employees working in environments where the risk of infection is present to minimise infection.

  • identify the most effective procedures for reducing the spread of infection.

  • identify the correct procedures for dealing with spillages of blood or bodily fluids.
  • identify the correct procedures for disposal of waste.
  • identify the correct actions for responding to an inoculative injury.
  • identify how to prevent the spread of MRSA.
