Asbestos Protection


Overview/Description
An estimated 1.3 million employees face significant asbestos exposure on the job. Heaviest exposures occur in the construction industry. Employees are also likely to be exposed during the manufacture of asbestos products (such as textiles, friction products, insulation, and other building materials), during automotive brake and clutch repair work, or while working in asbestos-ridden buildings. This course presents the basics of how to protect yourself from an asbestos hazard. Topics include personal protective equipment requirements, safe work practices, and methods of compliance. This course addresses OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.1001.

Managers, safety managers, frontline supervisors, and employees in general industry who may be exposed to asbestos
