Confined-space Entry
Overview/Description
The hazards associated with entering and working in confined spaces are capable of causing bodily injury, illness, and death to an employee. Accidents occur among employees because of failure to recognize that a confined space is a potential hazard. Therefore, it is imperative that employees working in confined spaces have an increased awareness and can identify confined-space entry hazards.
In this course, the learner will understand the responsibilities in safeguarding himself as well as those he works with. A comprehensive review of the types of confined spaces, entry requirements, hazards, and safety precautions is presented. This course addresses OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910 Subpart J Section 146.
